ADDISON DAYS

Addison Days was the brain child of Jeanette Perry as a way to celebrate the Bicentennial in 1997.  Jeanette formed a committee of hard working citizens that shaped one of the best parties Addison has ever had. In the process they created a tradition that has held true through the years.

Jeanette wasn’t sure how many floats were going to show up that morning 12 years ago but as she approached the intersection where the floats were to gather, she was stunned. There were 50 floats that stretched a mile down the road.

After the success of the first Addison Days the Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary took on the organization and planning of the big day for eleven years. The current Chair for the Addison Day Committee is Sheri Batson.  For information or to lend a helping hand check with the town office for the next committee meeting date.
